ABOUT DAVID McLAURIN
David is a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience providing confidential and professional psychological therapy. He is a full member of the Australian Psychology Society, Australia's leading professional association for psychologists and is a Fellow of the Society's College of Clinical Psychologists, recognising his additional specialist training and experience in the field of clinical psychology.
David has a wealth of practice experience and has worked alongside Psychiatrists, Paediatricians and GPs in public (including both hospital and community health) and private practice settings. In addition to assisting his clients with overcoming mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, David enjoys collaborating with them using a life-coaching approach to identify and change aspects of their lives that contribute to a lack of fulfilment.
David is genuinely supportive and non-judgmental. He uses effective non-medication based treatments such as CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Solution-Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness and a range of other psychological strategies to help his clients make progress quickly, but with long-lasting results. Throughout his career, David has worked with people from across the lifespan including young children and their families, adolescents, adults, couples and the elderly and he enjoys helping people from diverse backgrounds.
